About Me
Hello, I’m Camille, I run The Caerleon Foot Clinic, and am a diploma-qualified Foot Health Practitioner providing professional foot care in Caerleon, with home visits available across Newport.
Qualifications and training
I qualified in 2022 after completing the Foot Health Professional Diploma at The SMAE Institute, which offers the only University Credit Rated Foot Health Course in the UK. The qualification is credit rated by Queen Margaret University.
I am currently in the final year of my BSc (Hons) Podiatry degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Alongside my studies, I regularly undertake additional clinical training and continuing professional development to keep my knowledge up to date, strengthen my practical skills and deepen my understanding of foot and lower-limb health.
Clinical interests
I have a particular interest in vascular assessment, diabetic foot care and the early recognition of factors that may place a person at increased risk of foot complications.
Preventative diabetic foot care is especially important to me, as regular assessment, appropriate treatment and clear patient education can help reduce the risk of problems such as ulceration, infection and delayed healing.
Through my NHS podiatry placements and additional professional development in diabetic foot care, vascular assessment and tissue viability, I have gained valuable insight into the importance of early identification, practical preventative advice and timely onward referral. I am passionate about helping patients understand how to protect their foot health and avoid preventable complications wherever possible.
My approach
I provide friendly, thorough and patient-centred care, taking the time to listen, explain treatment clearly and offer practical aftercare advice. Where further investigation or specialist treatment is required, I will recommend an appropriate onward referral.
I look forward to welcoming you to The Caerleon Foot Clinic.
